Frequently asked questions
Short answers about transfers, verification and payments
Getting started
Send money to your loved ones and pay for services right from the app — no bank visit needed:
- send money to cards in Uzbekistan;
- send cash: the recipient picks it up at a partner bank in Uzbekistan;
- send money to other countries from the list in the app;
- pay for mobile, internet and utilities in Uzbekistan.
To get started, sign in with your email and verify your identity once.
Signing up and signing in are the same step:
- Open the app and enter your email address.
- Tap “Continue” and enter the confirmation code from the email.
- Create a 4-digit PIN and enter it again.
You can skip email too: under “Or continue with”, choose Google, Telegram or Apple (Apple sign-in is available on iPhone). You don't need a phone number to sign in.
- Check that your email address is typed correctly.
- Look in your “Spam” and “Promotions” folders.
- When the countdown on the screen ends, tap “Send the code again”.
Still no email? Sign in with Google, Telegram or Apple — or message us on Telegram: @asia_send_support_bot.
The app is available in Russian, Uzbek, Kazakh and English.
- Language: “More” → “Language”.
- Theme: “More” → “My profile” → “Settings” → “Theme”. You can choose “Use system settings”, “Light mode” or “Dark mode”.
Sign-in and security
A 4-digit PIN protects access to the app. You set it after your first sign-in, and it's stored only on your phone. The app asks for your PIN when you sign in and after it has been in the background for a while.
Once your PIN is set, the app offers to let you sign in with Face ID or your fingerprint. You can turn this on or off at any time: “More” → “My profile” → “Security” → “Use biometrics”.
- On the PIN screen, tap “Can't log in”.
- Tap “Sign in again”.
- Sign in the same way as before (email, Google, Telegram or Apple) and create a new PIN.
Your transfers, history and recent receivers stay in your account. On this phone, you'll need to set up your PIN, biometric sign-in and theme again, and re-enter the passport details of your cash recipients.
Open “More” → “My profile” → “Security” → “Devices”. You'll see all the phones, tablets and laptops where you're signed in to AsiaSend. Log out of any device you don't need, or tap “Log out from other devices” — you'll stay signed in only on the one you're using now.
- Sign-in is protected by your PIN and, if you like, Face ID or your fingerprint.
- If the app has been in the background for a while, it asks for your PIN again.
- Data between the app and the server is sent encrypted.
- Every device signed in to your account is listed under “Devices”, and you can log out of any you don't need.
Never share your PIN or the confirmation code from the email with anyone.
Identity verification
Verification unlocks all transfers and payments: to cards in Uzbekistan, in cash, to other countries, plus paying for mobile, internet and utilities. You only do it once — all it takes is an ID document and a selfie. You can look through the countries and transfer options before you verify.
Tap “Get verified” on Home or in More. If you start a transfer or payment before verifying, the app first asks you to verify. Once your identity is confirmed, transfers and payments open up.
- Choose the country that issued your document.
- Choose your document: a passport (international or domestic), an ID card or a driver's license.
- Take a photo of the document or upload one from your gallery.
- Take a selfie.
- The app sends the photos for review — you'll get the result in a notification.
Document:
- place it on a flat surface so all the corners are visible and there's no glare;
- for a passport, photograph the photo page; for an ID card or driver's license, photograph the front and back;
- make sure all the details are readable.
The selfie is taken with the front camera only: hold your phone at eye level, look straight into the camera, place your face inside the circle and tap the button. Good lighting without harsh shadows works best; take off your glasses and any headwear.
If the app says “The photo is too large”, just take it again. If the camera won't open, allow the app to use the camera in your phone's settings.
While we check your documents, you'll see an “In review” card on Home. As soon as the check is done, we'll send you a notification. If notifications are off, the card shows a “Turn on notifications” button so you won't miss it. Once your identity is confirmed, the card disappears and all transfers open up.
On Home you'll see a “Your transfers are still waiting” card with a tip on what to fix — for example, the document photo is blurry or has glare on it. Tap “Start over” and retake the document photo and selfie. If you still have questions, message us in “Online chat” — we'll help.
Transfers to a card
- Tap the transfer button in the middle of the bottom bar and choose “Uzbekistan” → “To a card”.
- Enter the recipient's card number. Once you see “Card found” and the cardholder's name, you can continue.
- Enter the amount — the app shows how much you can send.
- Choose a payment method and pay for the transfer.
You can send to Uzcard, Humo and Visa cards. For a Visa card, enter the recipient's first and last name in Latin letters, as shown on the card. People you've sent money to before are in the “Send again” section — search by name or the last 4 digits of the card.
The app shows what's wrong right under the card number:
- “Looks like a typo in the number” — check the digits of the card number.
- “We couldn't find this card”, or another message with the reason — check the number again or enter a different card.
If the number is definitely right but the card still isn't found, message us in “Online chat” and we'll tell you what to do.
Cash
A good fit when the recipient doesn't have a card: they get US dollars in cash at a partner bank in Uzbekistan, and you pay in rubles.
- Tap the transfer button in the middle of the bottom bar and choose “Uzbekistan” → “Cash”.
- Enter the amount in dollars.
- Add the recipient's details: first and last name as in their passport, passport series and number (for example, AA 1234567) and a phone number in +998 format.
- Check the amounts on the confirmation screen and pay.
The details must match the recipient's passport — the bank pays out the cash against them.
- When the money is ready for pickup, a “Show secret code” button appears in the transfer receipt. You can open the receipt from the “Monitoring” tab.
- Share the code with the recipient — and only with them.
- The recipient comes to the partner bank with their passport. After checking the passport, the bank employee asks them to show the code.
The app shows the list of partner banks when you set up the transfer.
International transfers
Tap the transfer button in the middle of the bottom bar: the “Where are we sending?” screen lists every available country, with Uzbekistan first — to a card or in cash. Use search to find the country you need. Transfers to international cards, when available, are in the “International cards” section.
- On the “Where are we sending?” screen, choose a country.
- Choose how the recipient would like to get the money.
- Enter the recipient's details and the amount — the app shows how much you can send.
- On the “Confirmation” screen, check how much you pay, how much the recipient gets, the rate and the fee.
- Tap “Pay” — payment opens in your bank's app or on the payment page.
You can follow the transfer on the “Transfer status” screen. If you see “Paying to this country isn't available right now”, check back later.
Paying for services
In the “Payments” tab, you can pay for mobile, internet and utilities in Uzbekistan in rubles.
- Choose a category or find a service using search.
- Choose a provider and fill in the fields it asks for.
- Enter the amount — you'll see the exact ruble amount on the next step.
- Check the “Confirmation” screen and tap “Pay”.
Payment opens in your bank's app via SBP. Once it goes through, we pay for the service ourselves — there's nothing else you need to do.
Payments, rates and fees
The app shows the payment methods available to you:
- “Pay in your bank app” (SBP) — choose your banking app and confirm the transfer there, with no card details to type;
- “Pay by card” — enter your card details on the bank's secure page.
If only one method is available, it opens on its own. If the banking app you chose isn't on your phone, install it from the official app store or choose a different bank.
Open the “Transfer calculator” on Home and enter an amount. You'll see how much the recipient gets, the current rate, the fee and the “Total to pay”. In the calculator, the fee is added on top of the transfer amount. Before every payment, the app shows the rate, fee and total again — pay only when everything looks right to you.
The app shows the minimum and maximum amount at the amount step, for example: “You can send from … ₽ to … ₽”. Each transfer method has its own limits, so check them right in the app.
Statuses and receipts
All your transfers are in the “Monitoring” tab (or “More” → “Transaction history”), and the latest ones are on Home. Tap a transfer to open “Transaction details”: the transaction ID, date, fee, rate and receiver card. You can send the receipt as an image with “Share” or save it with the “PDF” button. If you lose your internet connection, your transfers are safe — we'll show them as soon as you're back online.
- “Processing” — the transfer isn't complete yet. You can refresh the status with the “Check transfer status” button in the receipt.
- “Completed” — the transfer went through.
- “Declined” — the transfer wasn't completed.
For international transfers, the “Transfer status” screen shows the steps: “Just the payment left”, “The money is on its way”, “Done! The money has arrived” or “The payment didn't go through”.
A “Declined” or “The payment didn't go through” status means the transfer wasn't completed — you can set it up again. If money was still taken from your card, message us in “Online chat” and include the transaction ID from the receipt — we'll help you sort it out.
Notifications
We send your identity verification result, replies from support in the online chat, and AsiaSend news. You can turn on notifications in your phone's settings. If they're off, Home also has a “Turn on notifications” button: on the “In review” card while we check your identity, and in the “Start here” block after that, unless you've closed it. All notifications and news are in “Notifications” at the top of Home, and the status of every transfer is always in the “Monitoring” tab.
Support
Open “More” → “Support”:
- “Online chat” — we'll reply right here in the app; you can send text and photos;
- “Support via Telegram” — @asia_send_support_bot.
If your question is about a specific transfer, include the transaction ID from the receipt — it helps us find it. For AsiaSend news, follow us on Telegram @Asiasend_official, Instagram @asiasend.app, YouTube and VK.
